- The Baltimore Summer Antiques Show will celebrate its 34th annual show when it returns to the Baltimore Convention Center in 2014.
- The Show is the largest indoor summer antiques event in the nation hosting more than 550 international dealers and an Antiquarian Book Fair and a distinct fine art section, Art Baltimore.
- Known among dealers and collectors as the most important silver show in the nation, the show has over 30 leading silver specialists ranging from early coin, Georgian, Irish, Russian and Victorian to local Baltimore Stieff, modern Louis Tiffany and George Jensen.
- There will be more than 200,000 individual items for purchase from a variety of genres including: fine art, jewelry, silver, porcelain, Americana folk art, decorative accessories, furniture, glass, textiles and more ranging from the antiquities to the 20th
- The Baltimore Summer Antiques Show features items with a range of price points – ranging from $100 to museum quality treasures with values of more than $1,000,000.
- The show boasts a strong trade and retail component. In fact, many antique dealers consider the show to be one of the best shows for acquiring inventory for the upcoming holiday season.
- In 2013, approximately 25,000 knowledgeable collectors, dealers, designers and guests from all over North America, Europe, South America, Canada and Asia attended the show. The rare combination of diversity, first-class quality and affordable prices can be credited for attracting the large crowd.
- The Show now encompasses the majority of the show floor of the Baltimore Convention Center to include 245,000 square feet of exhibitor space; there are two main entrances located at the West Pratt Street Lobby and Charles Street Lobby and two full-service restaurants and a coffee bar are located on the show floor.
- The Baltimore show has a positive impact on the local economy generating millions of dollars in sales taxes and wages both directly from the show and at related area businesses. The Baltimore Summer Antiques Show was ranked #1 on Baltimore Business Journal’s list of “Conventions with the Highest Economic Impact in Baltimore in 2011”. The show’s estimated economic impact was over $15.04 million.
- The first Baltimore Summer Antiques Show took place in 1980, just months after the grand opening of HarborPlace, and was one of the first major events to be held in the new Baltimore Convention Center. The show is the second- longest running event at the Baltimore Convention Center.
